The federal Department of Trade and Industry supports projects to minimize material usage with up to 67% of consulting fees with a cap of 100.000 €.
Target companies are SME (small and medium enterprises) with
- Max. 250 employees
- Max. 50m € turnover or 43m € balance sheet total
and companies with up to 1.000 employees if the project is of high risk or very innovative.
Sponsored companies have to be
Manufacturer of metal products
- Manufacturer of equipment for power generation and distribution
- Manufacturer of plastic components
- Manufacturer of chemicals (excluding primaries)
Projects with significant, quick, sustainable and measurable improvements will be preferred
Projects are sponsored by a non refundable grant covering a proportion of the project cost. The grant is a “De-minimis” subsidy (max. 100.000 € over 3 years) covering only consulting fees but no other cost or investment.

Each SME can only be sponsored once and no other public sector project sponsors are allowed. Companies operating under bancruptcy law or similar are excluded.
